Aerospace & Defense: Enertec contributes to the success of M51 ballistic missile test flight

ENERTEC actively contributed to the success of the first experimental launch (carrying no weapon) of the new French M51 ballistic missile over the Atlantic on Thursday 9 November 2006. Enertec equipment and systems were involved in all flight phases:

  • during launch, at the Biscarosse Test Center (south-west of France), with the Advantys Systems performing real-time exploitation of missile telemetry
  • during flight, until the end of the flight, on the Monge missile-tracking ship, with the DV6000 data recorders, with the new Armor II systems performing acquisition, storage, and pre-processing of Armor Radar data, as well as with the Advantys Systems performing real-time exploitation of missile telemetry
  • after flight, at the EADS Space Transportation facility of Les Mureaux (Paris area), with the Advantys Systems and the TM fusion software performing off-line exploitation of missile telemetry

All Users of Enertec equipment and systems at DGA and EADS expressed their satisfaction.
