Airborne Recorders
ZDS Enertec supplies a full range of video/data recorders for airborne and shipborne applications, providing cost-effective, state-of-the-art solutions for digital data & video acquisition/recording.
Video Recorders are able to acquire signals from cockpit video displays, radar systems, targeting displays and other sources for recording and replay on a single storage media. On mission completion the removable media can be quickly transferred to ground facilities for mission debriefing, damage assessment, pilot training and other purposes.
Data Recorders can provide unsurpassed data interface flexibility, for data acquisition and processing applications as diverse as reconnaissance imagery (electro-optical, infra-red or SAR), intelligence gathering, anti-submarine warfare (sonar) or system test / flight test. The ability to record avionics buses together with sensor information provides precise context for mission events.
The combination of both data and video recording in a single system using common media provides a very economical method of providing time synchronized multi-sensor, weapons and platform information to ground analysis and debriefing activities.
Removable Cartridges
The removable storage media of Enertec airborne recorders use either hard disk drive or solid-state non-volatile memory technology. These provide compact, light weight and high-capacity storage at affordable life cycle cost. Removable Digital Data Cartridges are qualified to operate in the environmental conditions encountered during airborne reconnaissance and flight test missions, in pods or on board fighter aircraft, surveillance aircraft, rotorcraft and UAVs, and harsh environments experienced in many types of military vehicle.
Removable Digital Data Cartridges ensure high availability of the airborne resources and short delays between mission completion and production of useful mission evaluation material.
Cartridges compliant with the IRIG106 Chapter 10 standard are available, providing common interfacing, data format and control at the download interface. This ensures simple download to any PC system and time saving flexibility to operate with a variety of compliant data analysis and viewing applications.
Ground Replay/Analysis Systems
The Digital Data Cartridges are very easy to integrate into the users’ ground support systems.
Should a turnkey solution be required, ZDS Enertec can provide Ground Playback units and systems for data replay/analysis/display in exploitation centers, training centers and laboratory environments. Ground Playback units are fitted with IT-standard interfaces for easy installation and operation with PC-based workstations.
A full range of replay/analysis software packages for Windows 2000/XP is available for direct data download from media cartridges, video & audio playback and display, MIL-STD-1553B data extraction, and for basic media management.
Software Tools
A full range of software tools for Windows 2000/XP is available for convenient on-aircraft ground support (equipment set-up, pre-flight check) with a portable PC using recorder control interface ports, thus providing easy and user-friendly assistance at system integration level.
